Diesel Mechanic Supervisor

In this role, you’ll oversee a small team of 2-3 mechanics, ensuring that regular preventive maintenance and repairs are performed on our wide range of construction equipment and delivery vehicles. Your goal will be to ensure all equipment operates safely and efficiently. This position requires both physical exertion and strong supervisory skills.

We are seeking a motivated individual eager to grow their skills in diesel mechanics and heavy equipment repair. A strong understanding of basic mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems is essential. Proficiency in computer diagnostics and data entry is also required. The work will focus on maintaining and repairing our fleet of landscape/hardscape trucks, front-end loaders, bobcats, and various other equipment.
Job Summary:
This role involves performing minor repairs, preventative maintenance tasks, and troubleshooting on a wide variety of equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
To succeed in this role, the individual must perform each key duty satisfactorily. Other minor tasks may be assigned as necessary.
- Carry out minor repairs and assigned preventative maintenance tasks on equipment such as bobcats, scrapers, backhoes, and company trucks.
- Diagnose and repair systems such as differentials, hydraulics, motors, transmissions, drives, air conditioning, and electrical.
- Complete preventative maintenance checklists and follow established safety procedures.
- Document work completed via work orders, checklists, and oil sample records.
- Assist in servicing and maintaining other landscaping equipment as required.
- Follow site-specific procedures and detailed job descriptions.
